We are happy to be back again

Postby Husse » Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:19 am

We do apologize
It seems that the nasty code we experienced had far wider implications than ever expected
Clem will go deeper into this shortly
EDIT
If you visited our site at approx 21:00 GMT on august 12 and 24 hours after with Windows you may have been infected by a trojan (the JS/Tenia.d Trojan) We sincerely apologize
Anyone with Linux, Mac or BSD is in no danger...

It seems, Clem should delegate this admin job for the Forum to someone that has experience and TIME enough to protect the forum and it's community for malicious things and spammers.
It's a worthfull job and I am sure Clem could do better things than that...
Just a thought.

The experience is there I think, but not the time - however Clem is going over the whole lot to find and close holes
It was a bot looking for xss vulnerabilities that attacked and somehow it also managed to damage the Apache server - unclear to me how or if it was something else
