Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Xfce released!
I've been waiting for this one! My hand-me-down P4 shall see new life once more, and I just might be getting a secondhand netbook in a couple of days on which this could do well.
Time to fire up the ol' Transmission...

Thanks richyrich, I found an RSS to email service and subscribed to the feed. I certainly don't want to try to remember to check an RSS app somewhere.

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Xfce released!
I've got one "hiccup" with 17.1 "Rebecca" Xfce. It may be a bug or it may be just a glitch with my hardware on one of of my desktop computers. I'm not sure which it is.
The hiccup for me; it shows me the time at the far right of the bottom panel, but it will not show me the day and date. I have to hover my cursor over the time and when I do, then a small window appears showing me the day and date.
I have a second desktop computer and it has 17 "Qiana" Xfce on it and with this hiccup with Rebecca, I plan to keep Qiana on my second desktop computer.
If this is a bug, does anyone know how to fix this?

If you right click your clock and select properties, then look for the Format box in the window, you can choose custom format and, using the information on this page http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/clock, set the clock to display a variety of formats (with or without date).
Such as.... %H:%m %d/%m/%Y
will display..... 22:16 13/01/2015
Hope this helps

@WinterTroubles
Thanks for your help. I know about the custom format, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to use that. Looks like I have no choice so I'll try it and see how it goes.
What I was trying for in Rebecca was something which mirrors Qiana's time and date such as:
7:55 am
Tue, Jan 13, 2015

Unfortunately, the solution did not work for me. Still no day and date even though it's listed correctly in Properties and the correct plugin is installed via the Synaptic Package Manager. I even re-stared my desktop computer and still no joy.

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Xfce released!
It's a long shot, but could the plug-in's font be too large for it to display both lines of information? I guess you could try increasing the size of your panel to check that.Night Wing wrote:Unfortunately, the solution did not work for me. @ Night Wing - Did you right-click -> add the new DateTime to the panel ?
