Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: The beta version is made for testing purposes. It contains bugs and is not meant for productive systems. For participating on the beta test you should read the blog (where you would have read the answer to your question) and report your findings there.

I eagerly await this upgrade. Not that I am having problems with Linux Mint 18, but I am one of those people who like to keep adding .1, .2, .3 etc updates since things always get better (except for Microsoft which is a coin flip).
