Et voila. You can now create your account on the portal and post comments on each item. Don't forget to set your username in Account settings.

Hi there,

I would like to see a non ubuntu load of Timidity. I've had problems with the synaptic download.

Here is the sourceforge link:
http://timidity.sourceforge.net/

I think having Jackd and qJackctl would be good too, although these are okay through apt-get/synaptic.

Regards
John

May I suggest that the software version also be included in the description as well. I noticed that not all are the latest versions.

Thanks,

Scott
Love the software section, but I agree that version numbers are essential. I can't really use it effectively unless I know what version of something I'm installing. The date doesn't give me enough info...

It's only me, or there is really no link to the software portal at the homepage?

I searched for a link to this:
http://www.linuxmint.com/software/

I can't believe this!

Is it possible to get Gnome Launch Box as a mint install file? Its an open source version of an excellent productivity app from OSX called quicksilver. This could also be a great app for celena.

Can't Seem to Establish an Account at the Software Portal

Post by porcorosso »

I've been trying for about 30 minutes to set up an account at the software portal. I got the message that says the account information has been sent to my e-mail address, but I'm not receiving anything there. I tried to reset the account, got the same message, and still got nothing in the e-mail account.

Is there a problem with the sender? I don't have my mail server set to kill anything as SPAM. Worst case scenario is that the e-mail should be showing up in my junk mail box, and there's nothing there.

BTW, just got Celena and installed it. This is, if possible, even nicer than Cassandra. And the software portal is a terrific addition.

Hi,

It works for me.. but my email is at linuxmint.com so the test might not be relevant. Can somebody try this and see if it works?

Just Needed To Be Patient

I got my e-mail a while later. Thanks for checking, Clem.

Sorry to bother you with something so trivial. You are providing an incredible service to the Linux community. Thanks!

Windows is extremely fast after a fresh install. If you want to make it stay that way: - don't use it.

I'm loving Linux Mint Daryna and all the new software additions to the portal, but is there any chance that in the future as an addition could you put what versions they are of the applicitions on the portal????
