Nice work - kudos to all in the dev team.

Obviously good news! How and when will we be able to use the new, improved Cinnamon?

Re: Faster app-launching in Cinnamon
That is great news.
While I enjoy 18.3 Cinnamon more than any other release of Linux, and I have been trying out a whole slug of them, to me, Cinnamon has the SLOWEST DESKTOP RESPONSE in the bunch.
I just finished installing Mageia 6 and that is a very snappy performing Linux.
But, ache, my bones, the context of things is way foreign to me.....
a close friend kept telling me that I don't know "what Linux is" because I am not using the true stuff...
Well, Mageia is nice I suppose, but their terms for things are really weird.
I had to install 'inxi' on that OS just to try and figure out what was going on..... their version of that program is off the wall. I could not figure out how to use urpm(i) (g) etc....
Kudos to the dev team for working on this "minor irritant"....
