I've had a Dell laptop in need of an install for a few weeks, thought I might as well wait for the release of 20. I don't upgrade for upgrades sake and the other four machines here will stay on 19.3.

It's fast, smooth and no issues, it's a joy to use.

Another solid release, congratulations and thanks to the Devs.

I'm really going to miss the 32bit images. I've often utilized older hardware that can't utilize any more than 4, or sometimes less, ram, and the 32 versions always ran better on them. Hoping 32bit images will eventually be produced and continued for just these purposes. I really don't want to learn how to compile my own 32 bit images, if that's even possible, from the source code.

Please consider continuing the 32 bit images, thanks.

Given that Linux Mint uses the Ubuntu codebase, and Ubuntu stopped producing 32-bit versions, it seems unlikely.

That said, LM 19.x will continue to be supported until April 2023, so 32-bit LM isn't gone yet. :)

I just installed Linux Mint Mate 20 along my 19.3 version and I noticed the recurrent problem about numlockx which is NOT installed by default.
The side effect is that the login screen panel option "numlock" can't be checked before the numlock installation... GRRRRRR.

No problem for installing it from scratch.

Previously I've been using Linux Mint Cinnamon on my systems, but found Mint 20 Cinnamon, not quite as slick in use compared to Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.

So I thought I'd try Mint 20 Mate on a USB stick instead.

Initial impressions seem to be that Mate runs a lot slicker than Cinnamon, on my hardware (AMD A8 6600K CPU, AMD Radeon RX580 GPU, 16gb Ram).

So I suspect I'll be moving over to Mate :D

Hi Clem

Thanks for the new release.

I can't find the banshee media player in the software manager where it used to be in previous releases. I see that rhythm box comes installed, but I do not like the UI. Clementine is a bit better but I prefer banshee because it shows all the album covers at once. How can I install Banshee? Seems that it is not in the repo.

Thanks... Lucio

Forum members: please stop asking support questions on the Releases & Announcements.

It's getting very tiresome having new notifications that I can't unsubscribe from.

The moderators or administrators should lock these topics after every new release and announcement to prevent that help questions are being asked. Problem solved.

Finally the theme has solved the big issue with file sharing with Warpinator.
This is probably one of the biggest thing that has happened on this century.
I am truly pleased and will give my best salute to the theme. :D :D
