It's good to see a new release of Linux Mint, but why arbitrarily uninstall Gnote during upgrade to 20.2? As long as an application still works, leave people in peace to keep using it.

Sticky Notes is in no way a replacement for Gnote. Sticky Notes is fine to display a small number of Post-It Note-like reminders on-screen. I use Gnote to organize a large number of notes on many topics. I cannot see how the minimal interface of Sticky Notes could possibly manage them. Perhaps I should have tried letting it import my Gnotes, but I didn't want my desktop to become a sea of overlapping yellow boxes from which I might not be able to escape to do anything useful.

That's enough grumbling. I want to end on a positive note:

I have tried many alternatives and Linux Mint (in any of its flavours) remains IMHO the best Linux desktop.
