Re: Edge ISO available for Linux Mint 20.3
I'm running 20.2 edge as my hardware is too new for the regular release. The 20.3 upgrade is now available to me in the update manager. If I upgrade through the upgrade manager, will I maintain the 5.13 kernel used in the edge release or will it revert to the 5.4 kernel of the regular release?
I'm really loving Linux Mint guys and am slowly converting all my family's machines over to it. Thanks for all your hard work!

It will stay with the 5.13 series.KingTut wrote: If I upgrade through the upgrade manager, will I maintain the 5.13 kernel used in the edge release or will it revert to the 5.4 kernel of the regular release?

Every time I see this thread, I think of the Microsoft Edge browser. IMHO they should've come up with a different name.

Re: Edge ISO available for Linux Mint 20.3
I already updated with kernel 5.13.x so I have same kernel in both regular and Edge distributions on different drives. But System Informations still say "Edge" for this particular installation… Are there other differences than kernel in Edge distribution ?

I agree. When I first saw the title of this thread, my first thought was, "Why on Earth (actually, further south) would anyone want Microsoft Edge?"

Actually, the name "Edge" does make sense. Ubuntu also uses it to describe the hardware enablement kernels in its repos. As this is an iso with exactly such a kernel, calling that iso "Edge" is logical.
