Thanks for all of the work from everyone who contributed!

I'd also like to call for more seeders for the torrent. Currently I'm registering 247 leechers and no seeders. The leechers I am seeing are all maxed out at 82.16%.

Mine will be done downloading in about 25 minutes.
Once I take a look at KDE, I will be seeding around 60KiB/s(480 kbps) with Deluge.

Thanks, merlwiz--I think you pushed it over the top. Lots of seeders now. :)

Yea, I see well over 100 now.
When I started only 2 were seeding other than me.
I will be seeding all night, I have no bandwidth cap.

Mint KDE 3.0 is much better than Freespire 2! I can use different languages and is more comatible with Kubuntu! Concratulation, I love it! I like to try KDE 4 in the next vesion.

Same for me :cry: . I dowloaded Cassandra KDE yesterday via BT. MD5sum seems OK (to say 85bfed229ba6890727d6157ba5bb8e11).
I tried several times on two different computers.

Every time, the installer crashes at the partitionning step. I selected "manual partitionning" and then at 50% of the seeking process, i get the error message :

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde-ui.py", line 2694, in index
childItem = parentItem.child(row)
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde-ui.py", line 2734, in child
return self.childItems[row]
IndexError: list index out of range

So you seem to have upgraded installer ? (as i did not have any problem installing KDE beta013)

md5 of the ISO is OK. I can run the live dvd with no problems, everything works. When I attempt install I get the same as Florut.

Just started downloading as torrent with about 190 kBps. Will let it seed for some time (have 896 kbps up) It has not begun seeding yet ... but soon.
/edit/
From about 15:00 CET its seeding with about 85 kBps

There is a workaround for the bug in the installer. Since the bug is not in Ubiquity itself but in the KDE frontend, the solution is to use the Gnome frontend itself:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install ubiquity-frontend-gtk
sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-frontend-kde
sudo ubiquity

I tried it, the domino interface theme is looking good, but the kde itself not so stable than the gnome version of linux mint and a little slower than that. It's my opinion.

Me too==> the installer crashes

Postby bretzel » Wed Aug 15, 2007 9:47 am

Same thing for me about the installer crashing on manual partition --

Thank you tho, Clem for the workaround, I will try it soon ( trying MintKDE on my laptop).
