GREAT. I only heard of Mint yesterday, and I'm already happy with how it works. You've done a great job. Let us all help spread the word.

Really good "working out of the box" distribution. It may become a distro-of-choice for those parts of world, which are not burdened by patents and ridiculous laws. I look forward to see how it develops. All the best.

If you fill a need, and in doing so give the people what they want, you will be rewarded with...uh, whatever it is we reward Linux distros with, LOL

Firm clap on the back and a handshake on your achievement. It should be savored. One warning though...the FB's who worship at the alter of Ubuntu will be gunning for you. Watch your back on the "dirty software issues"

Really great job! :)
I think that Linux Mint is the best distro for desktop at the moment.
Perhaps there are still some little bugs, but certainly this is the right way!
Many thanks from Italy!

The popularity of Linux Mint on Distrowatch's list is really amazing. Linux Mint first appeared on distrowatch.com on 2006-11-14. Here are the rankings per dataspan as of today.

Last 7 days - #4
Last 30 days - #4
Last 3 months - #21
Last 6 moths - #35 (this is the default view)

This is very impressive. Congratulations to Clem and all who have worked hard and contributed to Linux Mint. Popularity aside, this is an incredible distro with a great community. Keep up the great work!

well, i just hope you guys will become one of those loyal users of mint and not just testing it since its a new distro. :-) don't flame! i've seen alot of linux users who have been shifting from distro to distro, basically because its new.... :-)

but myself, i can guarantee mint in my four machines... (since im exact UBUNTU user). ;-)

no offense please....

I'v used kubuntu until now, but Mint feels a lot more like coming home.
Congrats on this great distro, I will be switching tonight.

A agree, this is the best distro I have used. It takes care of all the things I was having trouble with as a Linux nubie and many of my fiends are now trying Linux for the first time because they can play their MP3's and watch DVD's easily etc.

Beauty and functionality... sweet!

Congratulations

Post by PapiSolo » Wed Apr 11, 2007 11:47 am

My congratulations to all involved.

I have beem using linux for a while now and have tried quite a few distros (ubuntu, opensuse, mandriva, caixa mágica, currently fedora).

I have been looking into a few new distros, but from what I've read around the web and have seen here, I think that I have finally found my distro of choice!!

Am downloading as I type and will install, test and give as much feedback as I can.

Once again, great job.
Please keep it up!

Cheers,
P.

Hi All,

This Distro Rocks!

Trust me I've played around with a lot of them over the years. Cassandra "out of the box" is a great tool to enjoy, and I love it.

I've been promoting Linux Mint with YouTube videos. Here's an example @

I can't tell enough folks about this distro, and will keep trying any way that I can.
