The latest version of skype for linux just came out, i.e., skype 4.0.
http://skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/o ... ter/linux/
-> download
I'm still using L.M. LXDE 10 because I only have 4G space on this 701 eee laptop. {Probably will change distro.]
I downloaded skype-ubuntu_4.0.0.7-1_386.deb and used sudo dpkg to install it. When I run skype, a window pops
up asking for username & password. When I type them, nothing shows. But after I type them, the username and
******** show and login me in. Similiar problem occurs when I try to change option. E.g., I tried to change the
video option. I click various options and nothing shows. I can't "see" what I am doing.
Is this problem due to an old version of L.M.LXDE or something else?
Can others try to install the latest skype and see what happens?
