LM that boot to RAM

Post by 69Rixter »

Recently, I'd come across an LM O.S set to boot-to-ram. Forgot to write down link. Anyone know what I'm referring to and where I could go get that specific O.S?

Perhaps you are referring to the "Tails" os

This is like a game of "I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 100," but Puppy Linux is a likely candidate.
Nice Wiki article. Note link at bottom of page to other distros which run in RAM.

Try using your search engine?

FWIW any Linux distro can boot from RAM. Some can do it OOTB but you may still be better off doing it manually with a more beginner firendly distro like Mint or Ubuntu.

Thanks Hoser Rob

That's exactly what I wanted to know. BTW...I'm aware of search engines and have used the extensively. I came here 'cause I couldn't find that answer.(LM any distro to RAM?) I know a lot of times the results you received are in how you worded the "search".

RE: bradwilson

It does, but what does it have to do with the distro I'm asking about?

Thanx
