Fluxbox, xrandr & Screen Resolution

I installed M9 Fluxbox on an old laptop (Dell Inspiron 4000) and I ran xrandr like the wiki says to change the screen resolution. Its a 14" screen so should be capable of displaying 1024 x 768 but according to xrandr the max available is 800*600.

How do I increase the screen resolution?

Thanks.

What graphic card does it have? Do you need to install drivers for it?

Shane,
I found what looks to be the solution... http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-918079.html

>Use sudo apt-get install alien in a terminal session
>After alien is installed -
> Browse to support.dell.com
> Goto Drivers and Downloads
> Goto the support page for the Dell 4000
> Select the driver set for "Red Hat Linux"
> Download the ATI Mobility Driver "ATIMP310.RPM"
> Copy from Downloads to Desktop
> Open a terminal session
> Change the directory to the desktop
> Use sudo alien -i atimp310.rpm
