install on an unformatted hard drive [waiting for 11 KDE]

Post by wiko »

I would like to run either 11 LXDE or KDE after a Live-version try-out and then install on an unformatted hard drive.

Is this possible from the installation?

thx in advance

shouldn't be a problem, you will be asked to chose a file system, fat 32 NTSF [good if you intend to cross platform with windows computers or ext3 ext4 you will also be asked to chose partition sizes or you can select an auto set up which i found quite good as i was a complete novice at the time

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.

thx

hopefully 11 KDE will be out soon, so I can try if my (old and) trusted AMD 2500XP works well enough (otherwise I'll stick with 11 LXDE) and try out the install to see if it all goes to plan.
