What about fluxbox edition ?

Hi,
Since I started using mint fluxbox , I loved it , and I want to know about newer releases of it.
For several months I read about planning for a new release of mint fluxbox based on debian testing.
The bad news is there is no updates about it .
What happened for it .
Another thing , I see mint 12 with GNOME Shell sucks, why ?

I mean mint fluxbox as a distro , not only fluxbox the windows manager
