BCM5755M Gigabit speed?

Hello,

I have an older Dell M4300 running Linux Mint 19 64bit.
All is fine, but I can't get the network card to support gigabit speed.

IF: enp9s0 state: up speed: 100 Mbps duplex: full

I tried ethtool speed and the gui, no luck.

Any chance?

This might be kinda obvious, but make sure both sides can negotiate a gig. Some home gear can be limited to 100 Mbps.

Both devices are capable of 1Gbps.
The same laptop using Windows connected to the same router runs at 1Gbps.
I have tested with a small gigabit hub as well. All other devices work as expected, just this notebook running linux won't.

I have searched the web and tried many tools.
But still only 100Mbit/s.

Please specify what it is that you have already tried with f.e. ethtool. I.e., does sudo ethtool -r enpXsY for the correct X and Y do something useful? What's the output of just sudo ethtool enpXsY?
