Can you see in Nemo "Windows Network" ?
Did you tried "file - Connect to Server..."? not just left-double click on the win-network icon.
select windows share there etc, and enter the url of one of your win machines then you should be able to read your win files on the linux machine.
I am also just running for testing a mint 19.1 samba with an old win XP home notebook file sharing network, no serious problems as yet.

I did not know there was such an option
what is win machine url ?

I tried to write the ip of a computer with a shared folder
The folder name is Share
The computer user is Administrator
And he does not have a password

well, i meant the ip of your win machine on your sub network. My internet connection is at this time critical, so very short.
Try to continue you in such a way you are testing your network right now, you probably will also be forced to a password and so on. Check all this out.

updating
I tried several ways and it did not work
The computer kept asking for a password that did not exist
Finally I added a password
And filled in the details as in the picture
And it worked

I still do not see the Linux computer on the other Windows computers
But I can access them if there is a username with a password

How do I cancel a password request?
The other computers are my parents or brothers
And they do not have a password on the computer

Try "samba" in a terminal window and check wether you can then see the shared files of your linux box on your Windows computers.
The output after the samba command should be something like:

samba version 4.7.6-Ubuntu started.

Can you see the Linux machine if you try to access it using its IP address directly? i.e. ping -c3 192.168.xxx.xxx - this can be found with the command ip addr show & as many routers have 192 as the first part by default, futher filtering to make it easier to find your local IP in this output would involve ip addr show | grep 192.

no
I'm getting a message
You do not have appropriate permissions Contact your network administrator (from win7)
ping -c3 192.168.xxx.xxx
i try this command on cmd win7 it gave an error
I can ping to the computer but that's it (ping 192.168.1.2 from win7)

Linux Mint is not designed to work on the network?
There must be a way to fix it

You seem to need convincing that you should return to Ubuntu where everything worked. OK.

Please post the output of each of the following commands run on the Mint machine:

Code: Select all

testparm -s
net usershare info --long
hostname
hostname -I
sudo pdbedit -L
avahi-browse -at | grep Network
sudo service smbd status
sudo service nmbd status

I'd rather try to fix this problem
Because Mint's interface is much more convenient
I'll give it another try or two and if that does not help I'll go back to Ubuntu

here is an outpot of the commands You wrote

Code: Select all

Then most obvious problem can be fixed this way:

** Edit /etc/samba/smb.conf

** Right under the workgroup = WORKGROUP line add this one:

Code: Select all

force user = offir
** Save smb.conf

** Restart smbd:

Code: Select all

sudo service smbd restart
From Win7 I personally would suggest you access the Mint machine by it's ip address:

Code: Select all

\\192.168.1.2

If I do a google search on "passwordless windows share" this is literally the very first on the list:

Do you not have google where you at?

I searched Google
I got a lot of results
Apparently, I did not enter this link

Code: Select all

sudo smbpasswd -a offir
If I add this line, will it suffice?

Assuming you actually ran the command instead of "adding this line" as you posted:

Code: Select all

sudo smbpasswd -x offir
