connecting to qwest

Postby marty510 » Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:23 am

This has been a long nights battle to get connected to QWEST! I had to speak with a man in the Philipines....not so bad, but the accent was hard to get around. I had to remove all the line filters that were supposed to be hooked up, then I had to call back to the "Philipines" again. No problem speaking to tech people as long as I can understand them...and type with one hand, UPPER and lower case letters. Well, after I changed my PPP user name ending-to "@qwest.net", from ".com", then I had to retype my password woth BOTH hands, and then, finally getting connected! I'm back online! From Charter ISP to QWEST. You'll need to call a tech support person for this one! They have to set up a PPP username and PPP password or your not going to get connected.
New QWEST users, call tech support, 'cause you really can't get this one on your own.

and type with one hand

This is why I since long use a speaker phone
Luckily my ISP is not giving any such problems
I think I'll move this to networking :)

I solved the QWEST problem...went back to Charter 5mb cable, instead of Qwests 1.5mb DSL. Charter connects automatically, thank god.
