In Network Settings, I see a 'Mobile Broadband' Option. I turn this 'OFF', and tether my smartphone to my laptop with a USB cable and I have a connection to the internet. A short time later, as in 30 seconds or so, the wired connection is disconnected and Mobile Broadband is back on.
Mobile Broadband seems to be the culprit, if it is, how do I turn it off.
I did the following for the install of Mint 18:
- Transferred my files to an external hard drive
Formatted the drive to install Mint 18
Installed Mint 18 from ISO Image on DVD (Verified validity with CheckSum after downloading ISO image file)
Installed all 1,2,3,4, &5 updates
Transferred my personal files onto hard drive.
