RTL8111/8168/8411 network problems

Post by Jampire »

Have mini-pc with internal ethernet adapter RTL8111/8168/8411. Wired connection not working (all pings resolving localhost, ip pings fails)
Router provides fully direct connection with dhcp, static settings don't needed.

I have tried:
- apt-get install r8168-dkms (8169 auto-installed driver not working too)
- tons of information about this problem

sudo cat /etc/network/interfaces

Code: Select all

# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)

iface lo inet loopback
ifconfig

You already posted all the info required, that's why there is no reply whatsoever although a week passed by.
I have a similar problem and I asked for a solution on Ubuntu forums but w/o any reaction from them.
Anyway, I shall tell you what should be done according to someone on the forum previously mentioned, a "suggestion" he reached after he went through a lengthy list of "run this command & post the results, and run that command and do this stuff and post the results": buy a new network card.
