I'm just getting started on setting up a home security system using a LaView Cube DVR.
I'm using the manual for the Cube and the page linked to below:
https://www.laviewsecurity.com/files/do ... _d5100.pdf
It wants me to "install a SADP program" and I can't seem to find one for Linux...
This is the page I'm using for guidance:
https://www.laviewsecurity.com/ipcamera
The DVR will be connected to the same router I use for my Linux boxes and, eventually, I will be able to view the stored video data from the other computers in my home. And it may even be available to others via the internet. That would be "shared by the cloud" I think...
I think I can spot the connected Cube from either the Terminal or a GUI, I want to use the GUI for the most part but if anyone wants to tell me more about seeing it from the terminal I'll be glad to see that too.
I am not certain yet that there is a Linux GUI application that will interface with the Cube but when you connect the Cube to a monitor and put a USB mouse on it, it has a built in menuing system that can be controlled with the USB mouse
Thanks for any help!
Jack
