Fresh install of 18.3, but no ipv6 connectivity (altough it's configured)

Post by RoFz »

Hello,

we provide IT services to business customers and we are currently evaluating Linux as a desktop platform. Our internal network already works with dynamic /64 IPv6 prefixes provided by our ISP. We also use internally an ULA prefix (fd0). Windows clients and servers, as well as other Linux distributions work fine with IPv6, but we are still trying to achieve this same level of success with IPv6 in Linux Mint.

It happens that, although the Mint device is fully configured with IPv6 (link-local, temp and public addresses received via RA and our internal ULA prefix), absolutely no traffic leaves the cabled or the wireless interfaces. The funny thing is that I can see incoming router advertisements on the interfaces, but nothing goes out, not even a ping6 to the default gateway.

I am currently looking if some default behavior was changed in these apps/systems:

1) selinux
2) sysctl and disabled ipv6 kernel features
3) NetworkManager

Please remember that this is a fresh install of LM 18.3.

Any insights?
