Delete current network configuration and auto recreate new one

Post by Icefinity »

Hello,

Today my ISP made some hardware modifications to my network.
I was using Mint 18.3 and I couldn't connect back to the internet with the new router/hardware.
They said they don't know how to fix the problem on linux , they only know how to fix for windows but the wifi was working perfectly on my phone so they left.

I was forced to use my phone to download mint 19 and reinstall the whole system since i needed internet fast.
When installing the OS it has that auto-configure network feature built in that does everything for you thus my internet is working perfect now.

The question is . What would be the terminal commands for future situations to:
1. Delete all my current network configurations
2. Automatically configure current network (just like mint does automatically in a fresh install)

Thank you
