i have problem when im set ip to static via network connections. i change ip from 192.168.2.4 to 192.168.2.100 and then im restarting network manager. so i check it in terminal but my ip still 192.168.2.4. so i log out linux and re-log in and my ip already changes to 192.168.2.100.

Re: ip not changing before log out/shutdown/reboot
First, i understood you changed /etc/network in order to get new ip, right?
What version of Mint do you use? also, isn't there a ethernet gui interface to perform that?

The best way to get a fixed IP address is to feed your MAC address to your router so that the router always asigns the chosen IP whenever that device connects.Ultegro778 wrote: ⤴Sun Aug 26, 2018 2:53 am i have problem when im set ip to static via network connections. i change ip from 192.168.2.4 to 192.168.2.100 and then im restarting network manager. so i check it in terminal but my ip still 192.168.2.4. so i log out linux and re-log in and my ip already changes to 192.168.2.100.
