Wired connection on Old Desktop not working

Post by efoxx25 »

Here is an interesting one for you folks.

I have Mint 18.1 running on an old Dell XPS that I replaced some internals on.
I recently moved and am finally getting around to getting it set up.
I currently have a wired connection going to a router downstairs that is acting as a bridge for our router/modem that is upstairs.
Another person who lives here has his PS4 and Windows desktop wired to the bridge router, and has had no problems.

Am I missing something to get the wired connection to work? At my old place I just plugged in the ethernet cable and got a connection.

Let me know if you guys need any other information to be able to help me!

Thanks!
