No internet (Ethernet)

Post by Kiwisda »

Hi. I'm a newbie, and have just installed Linux Mint 19. A message box on the top right of the screen informs me the internet is disconnected. I tried connecting it through the Networks part in Settings. Nothing seems to work.
I looked at other posts here and typed in inxi -Fxz as suggested in those posts. Even that doesn't get me a workable result! Here is the result I see:

C:\Users\SYU>inxi -Fxz
'inxi' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Do I need a special driver?

Thank you very much.
