On Windows 10, I could view "Network Connection Details" as shown in the screenshot below.
How can I do the same on Linux? One day, if I run into a connection problem and turn to my ISP for help, I will have to provide such details.

Try or inside the terminal window.
Code: Select all
ifconfig
Code: Select all
iwconfig
If you're looking for a greener Linux pasture, you won't find any that is greener than Linux Mint. ;)
Re: How do I view the connection details?
If you're runnint network-manager (you probably are),
and it has lots of options.
Code: Select all
nmcli

Or install EtherApe (mint software manager does it) as well and run it as root (sudo etherape) and feel free as a wonderful vitreous man in the universe of the internet.

Re: How do I view the connection details?
My modem has remained connected since 19:31. Why did it say "Serial link appears to be disconnected" and "Connection terminated" at 19:33 and 19:34 respectively? Similar things happen from time to time.
It is 19:45 at this moment.
