Hiyall,
I currently have a network consisting of a dual-boot (Cinnamon+Win7) looking at 2 desktops-converted-to-NAS running XFCE and a Lenovo NAS running a headless Linux OS. Whilst it works, it is often slow and complicated.
For instance; the 2nd desktop NAS only works with a monitor plugged in! I can confirm the problem is software-based. I know; one can become accustomed to anything however this science, isn't it?
This has bin a prelude to my main question. Is there a modern (most issues already sorted) networking solution using only one protocol for ALL my NAS drives.
Once the network has bin sorted I plan to add several laptops via wifi.
