Re: Updating the Intel Network Driver

If need be, first establish temporary internet connection for your computer by means of your cell phone.

Please generate an overview of your system like this:

- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);

- Make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;

- Copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxpmrz
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter, and don't omit the space after inxi!)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

If I may ask, was there something wrong with the previous network driver? If not, I'd try a Timeshift restore to bring you back to a previous point.

Try this:
Update Manager - panel: View - Linux kernels
Install the latest kernel of the 5.8 series. Then reboot.

I updated the kernal but the driver for the network fell back to the older version. However it still wont work.

Now when I try to update the driver I get the following:

Please use code tags when posting results from Terminal, especially such long output. It makes it much easier to read,

Thanks. :wink:
