XFCE network icon

Post by Mdmint » Tue Sep 11, 2007 10:50 pm

Hello! Am setting up a laptop computer with XFCE. I have installed a network card (Belkin 8185). I don't see a networking icon on the desktop like in the Gnome window manager. Is there a way to get an icon (I'm used to right clicking on the icon manager in Gnome and picking my connection, which is not happening in XFCE. I'm trying to get the laptop to pickup my Access Point.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mint XFCE uses Wicd for wireless.
XFCE4 mintConfig >Linux Mint Control Center >Networking
It adds itself to the panel (I think - I don't have wireless in XFCE
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
