Hi,

I would like to know why there isn't an installer with the LXDE desktop ?

Thank you.

Because it wasn't very popular: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 3&t=100787. The Linux Mint developers have limited time and have to choose what to work on. They work on what is important to majority of Linux Mint users (Cinnamon, KDE, MATE, and Xfce).

Note that you can easily install LXDE yourself. The best base to do that on is Xfce, as Xfce is easiest to uninstall after installing LXDE.

If your looking at system requirements on older PC's and Laptops,Are you really gaining that much using LXDE over Xfce?
