Hello,
After LMDE 3 confirmation (https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3418) I was wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to rename it LMDE 9 ?
Indeed, LMDE has been launched as a Debian Testing based distro, and consequently, a number was not needed.
After the move to base LMDE on Debian Stable, the 2nd version of LMDE (based on Debian 8 Jessie) has been logically named LMDE 2.
However, with LMDE 3 planned for Q1 2018, I wonder if the new release of LMDE, based on Debian 9 Stretch, shouldn't be named LMDE 9 ???
It would be more easy to know the software base used by the LMDE.
What are your thoughts ?
How to suggest this idea to Clem and the team ?
Cheers,
Fred
