Well over these last couple of months I have grown big on Linux Mint. I was just thinking, I havnt seen many decent server distro's out there and thought maybe Linux Mint could trial this out?
I think it could also be a good way for Mint to grow, What are your thoughts?
Will Mint ever release a server edition?

Re: Will Mint ever release a server edition?
Mint is mostly about providing a more user-friendly desktop environment than the other distros can provide. Servers are mostly headless. That means no UI apart from the command line. There are several excellent server distros available. Give Debian, Ubuntu or Cent OS a try.

Debian, CentOS or Solaris are rock solid server OSs. Mint server edition makes no sense in my opinion, would be like Ubuntu server.d0ped wrote: I havnt seen many decent server distro's out there and thought maybe Linux Mint could trial this out?
