No terminal from desktop in Helena

Post by T J Tulley » Mon Mar 01, 2010 4:43 pm

In earlier versions the Desktop R-click menu offered "Open in terminal" - and Enter produced a terminal.

In Helena, and I think also in Gloria, the menu still offers the same facility, but it doesn't happen. I have to go to MintMenu and select Terminal there.

Is this general experience? It was a useful feature - can it please be restored in future?

That's exactly how it still works here on my helena. Does it work if you mouse click rather than press Enter?
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

Thanks, Remoulder:

No response from any mouse button on that menu item.

If it works for you, presumably it's not a system bug. Puzzling.

With many thanks,

Yours hopefully, -
