Questions about Japan/USA edition

Post by Dupo » Fri May 21, 2010 6:55 pm

Good evening everybody,

well, can you tell me if the Japan/USA edition is the same as the Universal edition (old name of that edition) ?

because I want to know two things :

- that "new" edition uses a text grub menu like the Universal edition?
- that "new" edition contains linguistics support ?

thanks for your reply.

There is no longer a Universal Edition per se. The Japan/USA Edition is the Main Gnome edition minus the patented software that could cause problems for redistributers in Japan and the USA.

As far as I know, it does not have any more language support than the Main Edition.

The Japan/USA Edition uses the same Grub as the Main Edition.
