hi,
I am happy you migrate to debian, I preferre debian than ubuntu.
I have a suggestion since the release is on dvd, so no space problem on dvd, why do you compress the distro in squashfs format?
it is better to leave the files as there are:
firstly it runs faster if no compression used,
secondly is there a small problem like I/O reading in the file (it occurs now, in my case), nothing is running. while the file might be ignore and continue the installation.

a second suggestion is to give at the boot the possiblity to install directly , I mean when you start you get the menu and choose : installation or running from dvd.

thanks for good work
bela
