How is this going to effect Mint?

Just wondering seeing as we change releases with them or shortly after they do in order to fix the junk they missed. Just wondering how this is going to effect future releases of Mint.

If you read the entire article, there is a statement in the last paragraph saying
A separate story on NetworkWorld asserts Wednesday that Canonical has since said it won't be making any such switch.
I would not start worrying yet. They still have not even got their stories straight
