I'm trying to connect to a Cisco VPN (IPSec) gateway, using Mint 14.1 with MATE.
When I click on the network icon in the Panel, and then go to VPN Connections -> Configure VPN -> Add, I get the Choose a VPN Connection Type dialog, but the only connection type it offers is PPTP.
I installed vpnc, which as far as I know is what I need to connect to Cisco VPN. But even after the installation and a reboot, still no option other than PPTP.
I used to have this working under Ubuntu 10.04, but after replacing the hard drive in my laptop, I can't look at that anymore, and besides, I don't remember having to install anything besides vpnc in order to get this to work then. But of course I'm probably wrong.
Can anyone clue me in what I'm missing to get the Cisco/IPSec option to appear in the configuration GUI?

Re: Connecting to Cisco VPN
Got it, I needed two additional packages, network-manager-vpnc and network-manager-vpnc-gnome.
Re: Connecting to Cisco VPN
After trying this and having no results, I found an extra strep was needed for my setup. Not sure why, but here it is:
sudo apt-get install openconnect network-manager-openconnect-gnome

sudo apt-get install openconnect network-manager-openconnect-gnome
