<SOLVED>No GUI after NginX install

Post by glhallway » Wed May 27, 2015 3:58 pm

I posted this in the instillation and boot topic but will put it here also. I have been tring to set up a web server using LAMP but decided to go with NginX. I removed Apache using Terminal (remove then autoremove then autoclean) installed NginX and suddenly I lost the GUI in Mint. Does this sound like NginX has taken over my boot to automaticly send me into Terminal as that is what is happening?

Not even close to what happened. I surmise that autoremove was used and a meta-package was removed by accident.

Can you give us the output of

Code: Select all

inxi -S
please?
