Issues connecting to Mint machines <SOLVED>

Post by DJones »

I cannot figure this out. I have two Mint machines, 192.168.0.2, and 192.168.0.3 and they can ping each other.
On the first computer, I have TVHeadend that I think I should be able to connect to at 192.168.0.2:9981 from other computers. (127.0.0.1:9981 works) I see endless spinning circles. I also am trying to get Remmina to connect for desktop sharing, I get nothing. (127.0.0.1 works) I have also tried sharing folders. Mint 2 can see Mint 3 and transfer files, but 3 cannot see 2 at all. I'm using the Samba server configuration tool with same settings on each.

Anybody have any ideas?

Do you have a firewall enabled on Mint 2?

Apparently, the Firewall is not off by default as stated. As soon as I ran on all computers:

Code: Select all

sudo ufw disable
everything works.
