I'm having trouble getting knockd to work consistently. I can look in knockd logs and see that it's not going past stage 1 or 2. Now and then it will make it through all 4 knocks. I have tried converting iptables format into ufw format but get the same behavior. I'm not using any gui such as gufw or shorewall so I can rule those out as causes. Anyone have similar experiences and if so, what's the fix?
