Printing via network (localhost)
I'm trying to print via a localhost. I did connect with the printer and it is being recognized. The printer is getting my message because my laptop says so and the printer gives a beep (error). Unfortunately I'm not the administrator of the printer. There is the job accounting where each person has a unique code. In windows, a window comes up, where one inputs his personal code and presses ok, then prints. Is there a solution for Linux Mint?

Re: Printing via network (localhost)
Which is your Mint version? will give all the required details. In System settings--Printers, you can set up printer. The printer model and make has to be defined properly too.
Code: Select all
inxi -Fxz
If I have helped you solve a problem, please add [SOLVED] to your first post title, it helps other users looking for help.

Re: Printing via network (localhost)
Thanks for your time. I followed the first link in a scrupulous manner. Still same answer. The printer starts to bleep but no paper is printed.
