Remote printing via Remmina

Post by TBrammer76 »

Good day everyone.

I have a small issue with remote printing using Remmina.
I have a Windows server 2008R2 and have many pcs connecting to it via RDP/Remmina (some PCs are running various Windows OSs). I have various PCs on the same network as the server, and a few offsite which connect to it via a Public IP, and I route those connections in via the internet through a Mikrotik Router board.

I have TSPrint (from Terminal works) installed on the server and on the Windows PCs. When the users need to print from the server to their workstations, they print to the TSPrint printer, and the job gets processed on their PC, so none of these printers are installed on the server. Works like a charm. Problem is that even with the linux version of TSPrint installed on my Linux mint , I cannot get it to work. The server recognizes that I have TSPrint, and is even available, but if I print to it, it tells me that it cannot print to the TSPrint Linux.

Has anyone come across this problem? What can I try, or is there another software that I could use? On the local network I could install the printers onto the server (which I do not really want to do, but I could), but at those workstations that are offsite, and RDP onto my server via the internet that would not work.

Thank you in advance

Here are details of my Linux installation, the other PCs use the same Linux version as mine.
