Does vnstat count ipv6 traffic too?

Postby pepperminty » Mon Aug 21, 2017 5:41 pm

Dear folks,

Can anyone confirm whether vnstat takes account of ipv6 traffic too?

My laptop is on version 1.14 and my router (with Lede OS flashed) is on version 1.12.

Thanks.

I take that to mean the .deb I created for you didn't work? What happened when you installed (or tried to install) it?

This page suggests that it does work with IPv6, but doesn't break it out separately.

Jim,

Thanks for your reply. And thank you for following up.

I haven't upgraded vnstat yet. I just wanted to find out first whether ipv6 is accounted first.

Because what I was using (nlbwmon) seems to have issues accounting for all internet traffic. If a bandwidth monitor is accounting for just a part of internet traffic, it's useless.)
