Quick IP Switching?

I work at several different client sites and often have to use specific static IPs to get around the firewall restrictions. Before, when using Windows, I was using a program called TCP/IP Manager that would allow you to keep profiles of IP addresses with DNS, etc. You simply pick the IP profile and it would apply it to the card you chose (IE. WIFI Card). It was a fast way to switch between static IPs when needed. Sometimes I have clients where I need to switch multiple IPs for testing at the same place.

I know in Mint you can have a static IP per card which is great, however, if I need to switch between multiple static IPs on the same card (IE. WIFI) I have to manually edit the card and reboot or restart networking which is time consuming. Is there a similar tool anyone knows of for Mint/Linux in which it allows you to quickly switch between static IPs on the same interface? For example, if I need to switch between 192.168.1.10 w/DNS servers of 192.168.1.1 and .2 and then quickly switch to 10.10.1.10 w/DNS servers of 10.10.1.1 and .2 on the same WIFI card.

I need a utility that allows you to setup pre-defined IP profiles and apply them to any card you want quickly. IE. Network Profile 1 = 192.168.1.10 w/DNS .1 and .2 and GW of .1 applied to Realtek WIFI Card. Does anyone know of such a utility like TCP/IP Manager that works with Linux?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to set up different profiles in Network Manager for a connection with different IP's as I did it when I was using a hotspot for internet. I had one connection setting for a static IP and one for dynamic

Thanks. So I can have multiple profiles for the same connection? IE. I can have three profiles for the built in WIFI and just switch between them? That's awesome! I didn't know you could do that! How cool. I am still thinking in terms of Windows limits.

Thanks for the excellent suggestion.

It is pretty easy to use multiple profiles in Network Manager for the same AP, right click on the networking icon in the notification area and choose edit connections and then you can add new profiles for an AP. The profiles are stored in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections as text but you can only view the files using sudo
