Bluetooth Dialup not working. Mint 17

Post by Hairyloon »

Ive installed blueman, when I try to set up dial up networking, it says: "Device added successfully, but failed to connect."
I'm not sure how, but in "Recent Connections" I have both "Dial up Networking (DUN) on <phone>" and "Dial up Networking on <phone>". The former appears to connect to the phone, but doesn't connect the phone to the network. So does the latter, but it seemed to do it somewhat different.
On neither can I see a way to disconnect other than to turn off the bluetooth...

Any ideas?
My first thought is to use an older version of the bluetooth software, since it worked perfectly well in the earlier Mint. I'm not sure the best way to do that though. :?
