monitoring the traffic of the applications

Post by galacticus » Thu Feb 01, 2018 4:59 pm

Hello there.
Does somebody know if a little software like this exists?
Like this one for Windows, called Netbalancer.
Thank you.

This is always a good place to look: https://alternativeto.net/software/netb ... form=linux
But of course, there may also be something in the Software Manager. Have you looked there?

If you need something more detailed than the System Monitor (Menu > Administration > System Monitor), install wireshark.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install wireshark
http://www.wireshark.org/
Mint 18.2 Cinnamon, Quad core AMD A8-3870 with Radeon HD Graphics 6550D, 8GB DDR3, Ralink RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI
Linux Linx 2018
