Hi, I was trying to make some changes to CUPS and its webpage wouldn't accept my root credentials. Following the advice from https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... rd-156986/ I edited /etc/cups/cupsd.conf . I've since found that the printing service does/can not start and would like to revert this change.
I foolishly didn't make a backup of the file before changing it, can somebody please post a new cupsd.conf?
Made changes to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf need a clean/new file

Re: Made changes to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf need a clean/new file
The cupsd post installation copies the file /usr/share/cups/cupsd.conf.default to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf so all you need to do is
sudo cp /usr/share/cups/cupsd.conf.default /etc/cups/cupsd.conf

Hey WarfRat!
Just want to say THANK YOU! You saved my pah-toot and got my cups working. Somehow my config file got wiped out, (I think it was from a Mint upgrade), but anyhow, your little line of code fixed it!
I know this is a REAL old post, but it's still very much HELPFUL!
Thank again kind Sir!
