Hi there,
I'm trying to setup openvpn on my Mint 18.3 Cinnamon.
I am following this one: https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1965
I don't get or see any errors.
However, when I start the VPN, i get always a timeout and VPN ends.
No matter, if i try TCP on 443 or if I try UDP on different ports.
Any ideas?

Re: openvpn
What method are you using in the instructions? It lists two methods.
Also, Can you post your *.opvn file (x out the username / password).
Sounds to be a firewall issue of some type. Normally when I setup vpn's I always install nmap so that I can verify that the ports are available. If anything else if wrong like the certs or whatever then you can see that in the logs. However, Timing out means you are not contacting the vpn service at all.
What is your goal in setting up the vpn? Are you wanting to forward network connections thru it or perhaps just accessing shares from the server when away?
