Network manager Edit Connections bugs

I created a Manual wired connection, set Netmask to 255.255.255.0, and saved. If I edit that connection again Netmask is "24". This is repeatable. Also, I create yet another similar connection to verify, gave it a new name, and saved it. That new name was not in the list of connections until I logged out/in.

I'm thinking reinstall the network manager? How do I do that?

24 is short for 255.255.255.0 each section is 8 bits, therefore 3 x 8 =24

Thanks. I didn't think I was going to get a response on that one.

All I can think to say is, "Wow, somebody thought it would be a good idea to create a GUI, accept user input, and then scramble what the user just typed using a secret decoder ring."
